History

Twenty-five years has just turned the bridge that broke the secular isolation of A Illa de Arousa and promoted its economic and social development. In celebration of the Silver Jubilee of an infrastructure that cost out, then in 1985 it was an investment of six million euros for a community of 4,000 residents. Jesús Sancho Rof, Minister of public works approved the project, admitted that a boat in the middle of a temporary trip up to the island convinced him of the need for the bridge. The crossing José Antonio Gago Lorenzo, who was a member of the organized of UCD.

Chryssi is an uninhabited Greek island approximately 15 kilometres (9 miles) south of Crete close to Ierapetra in the Libyan Sea. Approximately 700 m east of the island is the island of Mikronisi. Administratively these islands fall within the Ierapetra municipality in Lasithi. It is possible to visit Chrysi by sea from Ierapetra and from Myrtos. Chrysi is protected as an "area of intense natural beauty".
